MAINE EARLY CHILDHOOD EVENTS (ECE EVENTS)

Mind in the Making Learning Community:

(MEAEYC)  has  partnered  with  Maine  Roads  to  Quality  to   bring  a new opportunity  to  teachers  and  administrators   working  at  NAEYC-‐accredited  programs  and  those   programs  currently  in  accreditation  cohorts. Participants  received a  free  copy  of  the  book, Mind in the Making, by Ellen Galinsky,  and will  receive  30  hours  of  professional  development upon completion. The   Learning  Community  consists  of  two  face-to‐face   meetings  (held  regionally  around  the  state)  and  six  months   of  online  discussion  using  Moodle.  This is the first time this venue has been offered in the state.

MEAEYC and MRTQ received these funds after being selected as a  recipient of this award from the Families and Work Institute. Check in later as we will be sharing the feedback from the participants. If this proves to be a venue people enjoy perhaps future readings will be available.
